Global Pets can assist with all regulations and necessary processes for importing your pet into Portugal. Upon arrival at the destination airport, several steps must be completed before you can be reunited with your pet.

The Global Pets team will verify with you that all documentation is correct for your pet’s entry.
On the day of arrival, our team will be at the airport to manage the import dispatch and oversee the veterinary inspection. This process typically takes a few hours after the flight’s arrival, which is normal and may vary depending on the number of pets arriving at the airport that day.
Once all formalities are completed, our team can deliver your pet directly to the comfort of your home or, if preferred, arrange for delivery straight to the arrival terminal.
Additionally, during the import process, our veterinarians ensure that your pet’s national documentation is up-to-date. This includes registering the pet's microchip in the country’s database, which aids in locating them more quickly if they become lost.
If you plan to travel with your pet by car or air across Europe, we can also issue a European pet passport.
